Who we are
Datavit Pty Ltd is an agricultural technology company based in Margaret River, Western Australia. We are responsible for the personal information handled through this website and through the Datavit Metrics platform.
What this website collects
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not contain contact forms. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or share visitor data.
The only personal information we receive from the website is what you choose to send us: when you use one of the email links, your message travels through your own email provider and reaches us as an ordinary email containing whatever you wrote and the address you sent it from.
As with any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type and requested page — for security and reliability. These are not used to identify individuals.
Information from the Datavit Metrics platform
If you hold a Datavit Metrics subscription, we hold the account details you provide (name, email, business and vineyard details) and the operational data you enter or that your hardware reports — vineyard locations, blocks, spray records, operators, machinery and weather station readings.
That data is yours. We use it to run the service for you, to support you, and to improve the accuracy of our models. We do not sell it. Where we use aggregated data to improve agronomic models, it is de-identified and cannot be traced back to a specific grower.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to operate — cloud hosting, email, payment processing and cellular connectivity for field hardware — and only to the extent they need it. We may also disclose information where required by Australian law.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy of your platform data, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Write to matias@datavit.com.au and ben@datavit.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes affecting platform subscribers will also be notified by email.
